The search engine has not confirmed it yet, but according to our research of chatter online, Google rolled out their latest algorithm change last Friday. Webmasters and SEO consultants are checking client rankings today to see the effects.
This marks the 25th update – Google Panda Update 25.
Google says, “They are unlikely to confirm future Panda updates since Panda will be incorporated into their indexing processes.”Matt Cutts, whom is in charge of Google’s web search quality regarding spam, let it slip last week at SMX West that a Panda update would be rolling out Friday through the weekend. He continued with “Although an update is expected this weekend, don’t be surprised if you don’t notice it because the Panda updates are going to be more integrated and less noticeable in the future.”
The last confirmed Google Panda update was actually announced and did take place on January 22, 2013, #24, with 1.2% of English language queries affected.
SteerPoint will be checking client rankings this week to see how or if our clients are affected.
